Cliff Zammit Stevens

Tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens recently graduated from the Royal College of Music (RCM), which was generously supported by the Malta Arts Scholarship Scheme, the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation and Janatha Stubbs. His recent performances include concerts and operas around Europe, notably Don Curzio and Don Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro with Garsington Opera on tour in Corfu, and Tebaldo I Capuleti e i Montecchi across the UK and Otello in Rossini’s Otello. Cliff was top of the bill for the Berlin concert celebrating Malta’s EU presidency in 2017.

Cliff has also founded ‘The Marcy Foundation’ in memory of his late mother, to raise awareness of and to tackle social issues including domestic violence, mental health, child abuse, drug and substance abuse, and HIV.

Pianist Maria-Elena Farrugia is a Masters Graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music (UK),where she studied with Sally Ann MacLeod, as well as visiting professors such as Michel Beroff, Philippe Cassard, Harvey Davies, Stefano Fiuzzi, Kathryn Stott and Hui-Ying Liu-Tawaststjerna. Manchester is where Maria-Elena expanded her horizons by performing both as a soloist and with several duo and chamber ensembles; one of the most notable groups being Philetas Piano Trio.

Currently, Maria-Elena is an accompanist at the Malta School of Music, and she’s active as Music Tutor at local state and private schools.
